About the author webgregorphoto

I'm just a guy who grew up with a father who loved taking pictures. I am self taught......a little frayed around the "edges".......and honestly just an amateur.....I appreciate a good picture....a great intriguing collage........ As a visual person, images have always had an impact on me. How a particular picture reflects conflict and tension, the "edges" of our existence...whether it be that of emotion, actions, or simply metaphors in which we are drawn to ponder our own place in time.....

  1. Thank you. This image along with many more are bitter sweet. I love this image, but I loved the man. He was a friend. He had asked me to shoot some images he could use to promote his band, Pete Special & Yo Moma’s Boys. Four months after we did the shoot, Pete passed away after a heart attack in the night. This image and a few more were used to promote “The Pete Special Tribute” held at the House of Blues in Chicago. Pete was an amazing musician who played in groups like “Big Twist & the mellow Fellows,” and the remnants of “The Band,” with Levon Helm and Rick Danko, after Robbie Robertson left the group. We all miss Pete very much.
